This should absolutely be considered by most people. If/when I get an FR-S/BRZ, that's probably the route I will take.

Even the stock-replacement KYB's we put on my wife's Mazda3 last year to replace the blown original dampers (keeping the stock springs) give *fantastic* high/low damping, much better than stock and infinitely better than any budget coilovers I've ever experienced.
That's what inspired me to swap out the Tein SS coilovers (which had approximately zero low-speed damping and infinite high-speed damping) for Ohlins on the FD. Ride and handling were *transformed*.
