For my personal setup I was thinking battery relocate and then use that space for a core. Plenty of room to fit a decent size. Barrel style wouldn't be ideal. As long as you have a dual-pass heat exchanger and a decent pump, heat soak shouldn't be an issue.
I will check out that shop you mentioned and see what they've got going on. Maybe I will check them out when I make it up to Road Atlanta.
