There is spray. Just not DIRECTLY behind the flap. May not seem like it because its a horrid pic and you see water lines going downward, but that's from rain early the next morning. I know the point of it. Unless there are flaps that extend 12 inches past the fender and wrap all the way around the wheel well, dirt and mud will still hit your car from your tires kicking it up. As far as rocks, I don't typically drive in gravel, so I wouldn't know. I only have rock problems from cars in front of me kicking them up at my front bumper.

Which...if they had rear Rally Armor flaps, maybe that wouldn't happen.
