I'm a novice but if I don't have a passenger, you can come with me if you want.
One thing that got me the first time I went was how confusing the course can be. I went all out the first run and got lost. Took some more runs to get familiar with it but by that time, it's too late. Now a days, I go really slow the first run. 2nd run, I experiment with gearing then try all out in 3rd run. I also record the runs and review them after each run
