Built engines
I am intrigued. All these 450+ hp brzs/frs talking about fully "built engines".
I have a couple questions for the veterans.
1. What has to be done to the engine to fully build it?
2. What's the general cost for parts and labor on building a brz engine?
3. Once the compression ratio is lowerd I have my big ole turbo kit in it and my racing clutch.... It's there anything else mandatory to swap out to Handel increase in power/torque
4. (Off topic). Jackson racing makes a super charger for these guys and I was wondering, if it made 100 more hp and 45% more torque with no building or compression changing.... In theory would lowering the compression ratio increase output? Or is that entirely based on the forced induction kit you have on the car....
5. If I lowered the compression ratio with no added forced induction would the car run ultra sluggish?
6. (Off topic). What are the stock speakers like? And brakes? It's the car super tail happy with the thin tires?
7. Is everything crawford did there brz really necessary? I drool over that car and I see it has 30+ grand after market in it and I feel two achieve that sort of power and race compatibility you don't need to double the price of the car.... Correct me if I'm wrong, it does seem like they've got there act straight.
Anyone and everyone feel free to answer whatever you like I'm open to all opinions and facts,
Thank you,
AJ
P.S. I'm also new to the forum and I'm glad to find a forum with so many step by step builds and avid tuners as this I look forward to posting my project once it is....well.... Purchased.....
