Have we seen the maint schedule? Subaru does 30k air filters. I think 15k cabin filters so you'd have one there. Not sure though until we see it.
Either way, IMO (and I'd guess for most buyers) a couple hundred bucks isn't much of a consideration. It means nothing to me and I'm not rich, it's just part of owning a car. And I do my own work anyways.
If you knew some of the prices before why not be specific? I think you over estimated and are just defending it now
