The rust was forming under the window seal. Normally it wouldn't be visible at all.
A little background, the car is just over a year old, and has seen one and half winters. I strongly suggest having a look and remember to clean under the seal when you wash your car.  |
I remember seeing a picture of rust in this same spot on another thread. (Can't remember which one.) I've started cleaning and waxing this area each time I wash the car to prevent it from happening to me.
