It certainly makes more financial sense for the two companies to handle it this way. They can source one base part, and then apply the small pieces for each companies "unique branding traits."

Hard to tell. I admitted it could just be the way the bumpers are cut that makes the headlight housing look different and maybe they aren't. I don't think we'd know unless we had two right next to each other
