Especially because I can pick up an 01-02 C5 Z06 for only 18k roughly. If you're looking at raw power for cheap, it's one of the best options if you're ok with buying used.

I feel you there. Currently driving a 89 Camaro with a 5.7 in it and sometimes I wish I had something a little lighter (hence the future FR-S). The torque is amazing though
and the sound never really gets boring.
If I wasn't planning to purchase an FR-S in the future I'd probably be going with a GTi or...well nothing else. Nothing has really sparked my interest in a long time like the FR-S
