If the wiring is done the same way as the DIY, if the headlights are not on (auto daytime), the DRL will turn off when you pull the ebrake.
If the headlights are on (auto nighttime or manual on), the DRLs will stay on even with the ebrake pulled.
In short, there is power back-feeding into the DRLs from the boomerang lights, so as long as the boomerang is on, the DRL will be on.
