I've had issues with wilson mags not wanting to drop free when empty, which is a problem b/c if I'm mag changing on a locked back slide, I don't need to waste time stripping out the recalcitrant empty mag before going for my mag pouch for the next one. Chip McCormick mags, however, have been fantastic.
It really depends on the gun. Yours being a 9mm will probably be different than my .45 V-Bob, though. Each 1911 seems to like specific mags, and by each, I mean each individual one, not just between manufacturers or models.

I just don't want to scratch a $1500 gun. It being called an 'idiot' scratch isn't helping either.
I had originally bought more Wilson mags, but decided to return them until I could properly test each different kind of mag to see which the gun likes the best. Research shows everyone has grievances about every mag, even the ones touted as being 'the best' have their detractors. The 9mm mags are pretty hit or miss especially - I don't believe CMC has 9mm mags.
