Exactly why we call it COTEP

. You basically get the quality and fitment of an Ed Brown but for about half the cost and a smidge less pretty (hard to tell the difference, honestly), and with just as dead sexy of a trigger pull. For only a few hundred LESS you notice a definite drop in quality (such as with a S&W E-series or other reasonably nice 1911), which means that DWs are dead awesome for the price. Thus why we call ourselves "Enlightened"

I think DW's secret is that they're low-volume producers, so they use mass-market techniques to keep the cost low, but low volume to have the time to do rigorous QC and making sure the tolerances are appropriately tight.
Unless something slipped past QC, you're going to LOVE that pistol. Chip McCormick mags run great in them, btw.
