Don't trust Carmax, I've seen people taking their cars with obvious issues yet still get "all good" inspection and offers to buy.

If you are going to wait to buy this car or any other "sports" car to buy it used just be aware that many of these cars will not be driven by "enthusiasts" but rather many kids right out of high school that will use and abuse them until they either total them because they don't know how to drive, do the ugliest and stupidest "mods" or just get bored and turn them in for something else.

I made the mistake once of buying a used sports car, relatively new only to later deal with all the issues and costly repairs. I say if you don't want to spend a certain amount on any car, either haggle, offer what you do think it is worth, if you can't get it then wait for the price to be lower on the new model or simply move on.

This car may have a chance of either being a Supra-like (Not performance but rarity) or a Celica, which today still hold their fresh or new looks.

Personally, I have a lease on a car at the moment, and the only way I will buy this car on its first year is if I get a reasonable price while getting me out of my lease, I could care less for special editions. The truth is Subaru is using that ugly "limited" crap in order to get people to rush to their dealers, I would expect better from them.

Also, I would not be surprised if Scion offers an upgraded FR-S with the fogs, push-start, and other goodies for 2-3K more, if they do it won't sell that many, not for the price they're asking.
