Sorry for the late follow-up. I had used that mount for a few weeks and took it off. The ring leaves a residue that only lasts a couple days and then goes away after cleaning. However since then I stopped using my tablet and started using my phone using this mount:

I find this a lot easier to use but keep in mind that its probably not strong enough to mount a full sized tablet.
