HPs pads are good street use pads. They need less heat to perform at their peak, but fade when using them for anything more than street (track days).

Biggest factor over stock braking system is the Castrol SRF brake fluid. Really allows the pad to work instead of the fluid boiling.

HP+ is adequate enough as autocross, very popular among lighter chassis such as E30 or miata crowd.

DTC-30 is also a good alternative, not as hardcore as DTC60 but seems to fit the application you're looking for....I hope you like black wheels though.
