Honestly, the best advice you can get for buying a Porsche is this: "buy the nicest S model you can afford." The base Cayman is still a nice car but for me, if I'm going to deal with the increased cost of owning a Porsche then I want increased performance as well. The base Cayman is no faster than an S2000.
