How was that test drive of the LFA? Only ONE single reviewer has described it as badly as you claim. Stop spreading mis-information.

Anyway, Toyota is not going to put the Transmission from a $375K car into the FT-86. Neither does the FT-86 need a transmission that can handle 552hp-350+ft/lbs (though that would be lovely).

Now, If One were to talk about an improved version of the SMT in the MR-S...........
