Stock tires are great for learning, which many of the people on this forum need. As do i.
In a sense, if you get consistent times on stock tire, then time for a upgrade. If you're still learning, then stay with stock until you're consistent. I've been looking at Auto x times locally, there's members with stock tires doing better time then those running those RE-11A's or PSS.
Don't follow the forums, upgrade at your own pace for your own advantage.
One more thing, you get pick up stock tires for dirt cheap. I've picked up two sets with very little wear for around $200. But do be cautious of these tires feathering, they love to do that.
