This car is definitely kind on the budget. I'm able to pay cash for it and it has little effect on my overall financial health. The 981 costs 3 - 4x more in Australia. A base Cayman will set you back AU$ 120K (or US$ 110k). Then comes insurance, maintenance costs, and depreciation. In my opinion, you cannot really enjoy a car if you've stretched yourself financially in order to buy it. The novelty will wear off but the financial consequence will linger on.
