I have the Axle Exchange aluminum drive shaft. It's a great shaft and I really liked it. I would not hesitate to recommend it for those without the quick shifter. If the carbon fiber one is the same or smaller than stock then yes it would work. I'm not willing to spend that much on a drive shaft since it has very minimal gains for the amount of $ spent.
