With absolutely no evidence on my side, maybe they don't want to because they already have the BRZ?
Like how VWOA wouldn't give us the Scirocco because they were afraid it would cannibalize 2dr GTI sales.
Really though, the difference between a 2dr and 4dr WRX isn't that one is and one isn't a family car. One just has two less doors.
