I've built a competitive turbo car for SM before, albeit 6-7 years ago. I'd like to think 250WHP could get it done but I'm not sure the FA20 can get there, not with enough torque to be competitive. Mike Simanyi's 95 M3 is a little under 300WHP in a 2600lb car, but it's a 3.0L inline 6. It makes way more torque than you'll ever see out of an FA20.

I think a 2L NA FA20 could get down to less than 2400lbs, but I'm still not sure it will have the oomph to compete.

If you have an FR-S doing a swap with one of the Toyota V6s might be a better idea than trying to wring out the FA20...

I'm actually contemplating trying the car out in CSP, I think you could hit 210-220WHP on E85 nowadays with the power blocks, right intake, etc. I don't think the car would be competitive against the current Miatas but it would still be a lot of fun, much cheaper than SM, and might get the car moved to DSP where it could be competitive.
