Re. gas mileage, if you want some real-world experience:
- In my STI hatch, I averaged 19-20 mpg.
- In my FR-S, I averaged 25-26 mpg on the same route.
I doubt that's going to be enough of a difference to justify the cost of switching, but there's some data for you.
