It was more of an observation for me. I absolutely expected the car to drop being that it was brand new, just not as much as it did. I check out KBB on a regular basis….not for the actual price of the car (as it tends to be pretty inaccurate), but just for an idea of how it's dropping. It held for a bit and then just DROPPED. I honestly feel that with how common this car is becoming, it won't reach s2k status. I see one of those a week. I see 2-3 86's a day, which is crazy! I've already seen my 3 for today on my drive to an appointment this morning. At least it's a good looking car.

But it's been hardly a year or so since the car was first released... hardly enough data to determine any car's ability to retain value, since you're barely getting a glimpse of the car's reliability (which often plays a role but can't necessarily be determined as good until a few years later), popularity/demand,
etc.
