I never understood how investment and car can be used in the same sentence when talking about new or slightly used vehicles.
Especially sports cars, if you buy new you have to consider that expense disposable income.
If you just need a CAR for commuting you should be looking at base modles, i.e. Yaris, Versa, etc. and used ones at that. So then consider 10k for a newish reliable vehicle and this car is around 25k. That 15k gap should be disposable for you since you are buying something you don't NEED.
But to each their own I guess since the average sale price of a car is like 30k? lol. Sometimes I wish I wasn't a car enthusiast so I could be happy DDing a Yaris for cheap.
