Depends on which direction you want to go. Northwestish you got the twisties to Caesar's Head, Table Rock, Brevard, Cashiers, Highlands (the Moonshiner 28 there is quite nice btw and goes straight to the Cherohala Skyway and Tail of the Dragon - 3 and a half hours there using route 28, but you can shave off an hour by going up to Asheville and then over).
West goes into Georgia that I'm not all that familiar with but I'm probably going to head over there this weekend to finally try out
a BBQ place I came across a few years back while on the way to whitewater rafting. Also
this loop around Blood Mountain seems promising.
East is 3-4 hours to the beaches at Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and Beaufort.
