I think the worry is that the car will be best enjoyed on glass-smooth pavement.
Toronto has roads which are marked and scarred by road salt, snow plows, ridges and cracks, potholes, etc.
I once accidentally induced lift-throttle oversteer in my old MkIV Jetta on a street with cracks. That warped my rear discs pretty bad (a $600 repair).
Would not want that happening to a car like this.
