I don't have directly comparable evidence, but I do have a very similar case as evidence to disagree with most of your statement. For the last 15 years I've owned an Integra GS-R. Purchased her in May '99 with 135k miles for $5500. The engine's redline is 8000 (same as FC22) and anything above 73-74 mph pushes the engine over 4000 rpm. 85-90 mph? Over 5000 rpm. And yet now my GS-R has 305k miles with the engine still in tip top shape. Never had any internal engine work - everything is as it was at the factory. Doesn't burn any oil (other than the typical VTEC "smoke") and gets fantastic gas mileage. It's EPA rating is 21/26, yet I average 24/31. This indicates a very healthy engine. I've done everything with this with car. 4 seasons of Autox, 1 track event, 1 rallyX event, and several test and tune sessions at Rockingham dragway. Multiple clutch drops from 6-7000rpm. I've accidentally driven the car over 1000 miles without an engine air filter (fell off unbeknownst to me) and the engine has shut off twice from accidental ingestion of standing water. I've gotten the vehicle airborne on and off road. I've run the car at a steady 110 mph for 10-15 minutes. The GS-R endured 3 years living in NYC.

I'd have complete faith in the drivetrain of a (well cared for) S2000 with 150k miles.
Does your gs-r have EXTREMELY tight piston clearances and frm cylinder bores?

Nope

I have answers to these questions and speculations generally. I'm not just saying it because. a gs-r will do 300k no problem. It might start smoking by then but it will do it. I'm not sure i can say that of an s2000, but we'll see i guess.
