VW sells a paint pen and a clearcoat pen, I never use the clearcoat as it's really hard to use.

My recommendation is to buy Duplicolor primer fill pen from Crappy Tire, and the Duplicolor paint pen from the Subaru dealer.

I'm lazy I don't even use the primer pen but you should if you want the fill to be leveled.

The hood is aluminum. My well used Cannondale aluminum bike frame is 12 years old and there's no rust on the battle damage areas.

Japanese steel will usually see surface rust fast if you don't fix the chips. German steel panels if you keep washing the car there will be no rust for many years even if you don't fix the chips.
