A lot of members recommend the smaller invisible (permanent fit) cameras that fit behind the mirror. I'm using a Genius DVR-FHD590 which isn't as subtle (huge GPS-like mount) but image quality and performance are excellent for the price (I paid about R1300-00 including 32GB Class 10 MicroSD) - also easy to remove and download footage. Also records in MOV format so history is about 5-7 days depending on mileage with no audio at 1080p.
