I bet those HiFiMan cans will be awesome! They have great specs and get rave reviews, I just don't have personal experience with them.
If that's the range you're looking for and want to test drive some different ones, see if you can find a place to give them a listen as well as the AKG 702 or 712 and also the Grado Reference RS2 (wooden headphones FTW!) or PS500.
I can't help but go nuts on headphones and get excited when someone else gets into them too.
