For second gear idle cruising and you want to accelerate, than don't give it so much gas, ease into the throttle and let the engine kind of naturally rev up as you pick up speed....the sound should stop. What your doing when you mash the gas at 1000 rpms in a tall gear is asking for 100% FP and the engine simply can't deliver and your overloading the rings causing a bit of knocking from the piston slapping the cylinder wall.
