You have to be careful with stick on paddle shifter extenders, a lot of the time when shifting from the top or bottom of the extender, it can cause a flex and the shift won't be processed. Not a good thing when you're at redline.
Some Audi's have had a problem with the aftermarket as well.

It's best to replace the whole paddle, not just put stick on's.

But of course, the material and flexibility of it are what truly matters.
