I have a '14 and I only did 1.5 turns. 2 turns was too low for me. I have to think if I did 8 rotations, my pedal would be half an inch off of the floor!
Did you spin the clevis? It's that u-shaped bracket thing. And did you make sure to loosen the nut right behind the clevis before turning?
