I think it'll be a while before an exhaust turbine gets into this car because a turbocharger makes transient response much worse, and that goes against the philosophy of the car. I can see maybe like 1000 more rpm, which would bring in an extra 30hp or something.
Supercharger could happen although Subaru has never done that to the best of my knowledge? However an electrically powered supercharger or variable drive supercharger would work great for the car as it would have good response, so the "electric turbo" that's being developed could work very well on this car, but that's a long way off in the future.
