The shop I took it to recommended the same thing, but the only thing they want to make sure of is which lubrications are safe to use on these coilovers. That's the information I'm waiting to hear back from Chris, unless someone else can chime in and let me know which lubrications are okay to use.
The Megan Racing site says to use Petroleum based lubes. Would this be universal for all coilovers?
Lubricants are temporary fixes. Your best bet is to wait for SPD to come back and help you out. After all, he should be the expert on his own coilover system and how it was designed/assembled.
