could someone point me in the right direction?

I am at the point where I have decided that i will be going FI at some point down the road. I plan on keeping the car long enough that i believe at some point I will need to rebuild a short block for the car. My goal is a streetable 350hp at the wheels in the long run. My car is a DD but I would like to autox and some HPDE's.

I am at the point where I don't want to start buying headers and other exhaust components just to need to replace them. I would rather spend the money on the supporting mods like oil cooling, bigger radiator, etc.

The two plans I am thinking are either AVO turbo kit or Vortech supercharger. The AVO kit seems to me to be the best turbo option and most trackable package. The Vortech Kit does intrigue me because I can build it slowly (IE. doing the headers, Open flash Tablet, other exhaust parts, etc.). To methe downside is that when I eventually do rebuild a motor i would probably make more power with a turbo.

Can anyone give any insight onto the pros and cons of either way? All of my reading leads me to believe that no matter which way I go, I am going to spend such a similar price for either kit that price s almost negligible. I love the boxer sound and the AVO kit has a UEL manifold, and is the only low mounted turbo kit i have seen.
