I ended up taking @
vgi's file and modifying it to use the parameters I wanted (and took out the conversion to MPH etc). I don't know what went south with the file I was working off, it wouldn't throw any kind of error, all the parameters looked fine in logcfg.out but no matter what the triggers would not work and with them commented out it still would not start logging.
Either way, it works and I'm going to try doing some real logging on the way home today... Though sadly it will be a log of bumper-to-bumper Toronto traffic.
Yes, the trigger is working. Before giving up on my own file I did reshuffle and it didn't make a difference. It wouldn't even start logging with the triggers commented out.
