edit: the old version said something like "a turbo version is coming although a timetable has not yet been set." it was too different from what is written now to have been a misquote. I'm betting that Subaru called the writer to let him know that little tidbit was supposed to be off the record.

Or the author misspoke and incorrectly described something that was not true. That is the other case, which I believe is more likely. No one from Subaru has confirmed anything regarding a turbo in the BRZ, however they have confirmed the FA being the basis of the new engine for the next WRX. So don't assume that the correction on the article means they had the correct information.
