Fact is my 05 STI and BRZ love Mobil 1. Zero engine issues in 90,000+ miles of autocross, 1100 mile days, over 150+mph, hot summers, and harsh winters. I change it every 3-5k and the last time the oil pan was dropped the engine looked like new.
I tried the Advanced Fuel Economy stuff in the BRZ last oil change. I didn't notice anything better or worse than Royal Purple, Valvoline (quickie lube during a long road trip), or the local Subaru dealership oil. Then again, I don't send my oil in for analysis or anything.
