I had 35w HIDs in my last car. ONLY because it had HID projector housings. My friend with a Toyota corolla with reflectors copied me and put in 55w 4.5k HIDs in his headlights...

Needless to say, my headlight beam was much more focused and honestly they look stock (a lot cleaner light and I can see so much farther, I never got pulled over once for them.) Now my High beams are different (55w 4.5k HID in reflectors) I only use those when there isn't any streetlights out and it's darker than shit outside.

My friends lights on the other hand, are scattered like spagetti, he's been pulled over multiple times, had to change them out spending hundreds because he never learned his lesson, he didn't even get the same distance as I got with mine.

The lesson to be had: have HID projectors before putting in HIDs, or buy HID projectors for the new bulbs. Don't be my friend and blind everyone.
