There may be more initial bite on the bigger brakes, but stopping distance and rate of slowing down is unchanged. Completely agreed for no turbo though. I'll take the BRZ as is.

Unless you are going to be tracking the car all day, a large rotor will act as a larger heat sink and provide better breaking performance over a consistent basis. I would say swap out the stock pads first and see how the car holds up. Most likely that is all that will be needed with a stock engine.
