The writing is probably form some sort of grease pen used in production or on the sales lot that is still clinging to the outside of the window. Try something like 3M Adhesive Remover, denatured alcohol, or other clean solvent. Be careful not to get any of the solvents on the paint or trim. Follow up with a good automotive window cleaner, then wash the car. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

After all of the work cleaning the windshield, it may be a good time to put on some Aquapel. I had the same problem and used this solution, including the Aquapel. No more problem.
