IMO, $25,000 isn't expensive for what you're getting (european styling, track performance, 53/47 weight distribution, detailed interior/exterior, boxer engine, toyota quality, etc). And as it's already been said......there are no "new" cars that can compete with what the FR-S/BRZ offers at this price. PERIOD!

With that said, I'm know there are a few of us "slightly" older that visit the forum, I'm 36, who may have jobs that afford us the ability to see this car and think $25,000 is reasonable. For others who are maybe younger, or may not have steady employment, this may be too expensive for them. In short, maybe the price complaints are based off of forum members "lack of income" which in turn translates into complaints of an "overpriced car".

Regardless, next year I'll be in the market for either a FR-S/BRZ (even if the BRZ sells around $30k) as I think it's still a reasonable price for WHAT YOU ARE GETTING. Now if they offer a TRD or STi version, that would be even more exciting but will come with a hefty price increase I'm sure.

Hope nobody takes offense to my posting.......just expressing my thoughts on the matter when it comes to the pricing complaints.

taking the "most" into consideration, i guess i am one of those on the other end of the spectrum, one of the few with a healthy nest egg and good D.I. /mo still looking at a Scion as an option and I also still think 25k is too much for this car.

you can have the new genesis coupe, the new dedicated platform the WRX is going to get for probably 25k as well, or the aging '12 Evo X for 29k and both will likely spank this thing.

now understandably we're going for "feel" here, but when a comparable/better driving experience can be had for the same money... that makes this thing overpriced IMO.

and this thing is 25k. thats it. people need to stop saying its below 25k, because that 70 bucks isn't squat.
