He recommends QT for them. So I did, when I still had the STI. Figured I might as well stick with them as best I could when I got the BRZ.

I do get consistent gas mileage from QT gas (steady mid to upper 27 mpg measured average, 29.x as read by the ECU), so I figure that's indicative of consistent E-content as well. It seems to always stay there, as long as I don't excessively high-rev the car (that is, stay in cruise revs when cruising, and whatever I care to rev to when I'm on side streets or passing), which I like. That's 10mpg more than when I would utterly granny drive the STI. More fun with consistently higher mpg's. I LOVE this car! Then again, I wasn't getting 27mpg when I first got this car. More like 24-25 mpg with those driving habits. So, thanks @nelsmar. That's his road tune (over about 35 iterations) that's giving me that performance.
I would say he is correct. Like I said I monitor knock religiously in all my cars except the FR-S so I have developed a very good sense of what is good and what isn't. Sams club gas was the absolute worst I ever tested and I wouldn't even put that crap in my lawn mower. Knocks so bad I can't believe anyone uses it under any circumstance. Anyway the only reason I don't monitor it religiously on the FR-S is because there is no real easy way to do so unless you are actually datalogging. Many other platforms make it easy. From all the datalogging I have done with this platform though its no different in results with QT.
