For this last weekend, I was able to try some 235/40/17 Toyo RIR's. Initially, they were off the pace of my old RS3s which always work very well at El Toro, but after some scrubbing in, I was running about the same times. However, the car was much easier to drive on the Toyo. Whether, the 255 sidewall is just too squishy which causes some odd bouncing or not, I don't know.

So, while the Toyo was no magic bullet, I liked the way the car felt and the handling was perfect and combined with the OS Giken diff, I could be more aggressive with the throttle without fear of kicking the rear out to far. I'm looking forward to the San Diego Tour and El Toro Pro in the coming weeks.

My run in STX - looking forward to more of you guys coming out. It is addictive.
