Well, by you and your mrs being petite people, that could allow more leg room for the back seat passengers for sure.

You may wish to consider two things; one, getting the child into the back seat and buckled up and secondly, tending to their "needs" while you're driving or being a passenger.

However, one "could" ..... (not a recommendation), if you had only one child to transport and no adult passenger ...... fold the back seat down (make it go away) and put the child in the front seat.
