UPS is a private firm... they overcharge for their brokerage.

USPS (united states postal service...) is akin to our Canada Post, their brokarage fee is a flat 10 dollars and they charge HST on the declared value of the product, if you are getting "raped" then you simply didn't plan for the tax.... which would pay regardless because the distributor has to carry it on to you.

furthermore, the retailer here in canada will still have to charge you more, because they had to get it from there, and that cost things, and they have a business to run, so unless we're talking items which are supplied en-mass to the canadian market, you're really not going to be finding an amazing deal up here.
