I've done the same in the past ordered stuff to a US address and yeah at the time I thought I was saving money but in truth the closest border crossing for me is two hours away so i'm losing 4+ hours outta my day. My time is worth more than that.
Now I understand your border crossing is much closer and there is cheap gas available so in the end for you it might actually work out in your favour.
I just know that @ Stav goes outta his way a lot of times to help members out and give them the best price he can. He has gone over and above for me a couple of times and i appreciate it and will continue to do business there.

Might be self-serving, but I do agree with this!
We have to charge shipping + taxes + dutie fees + exchange rate (This last one is the worst)
I'm having a hard time with this new exchange rate. The looney is hopeless!
