I thought the new Imprezas were sticking with the FB engine (albeit with direct injection)? The FA is an entirely different engine. Different block, heads, bore/stroke, pistons, rods, crank, cams, sump, exhaust, intake, injectors... It does have the same mounting points though. But I kind of doubt they'll offer this particular engine in anything else. Regardless, the BRZ/FRS/86 will be around for a long time so they'll get their money's worth.
